Fully achieving sustainability goals will require actively supporting your suppliers by offering them incentives for good practices, showing them why your company has chosen to set certain standards and demonstrating the value to them of responsible environmental and social performance. The Travelife Sustainability System supports tour operators who are committed to work in partnership with their suppliers to promote sustainability.

Through a web based facility you can evaluate and compare the performance of your suppliers based on the Travelife best practice standards. Information is shared between tour operators, thus avoiding the need for tour operators to personally audit all their suppliers and eliminating the need to maintain individual complicated information systems.

How does it work?
Through the website your suppliers can evaluate their own social and environmental performance by completing checklist questions relating to criteria for good environmental and social management. The system compares their rating with those of other tourism businesses and provides them with help, advice and support on how they can improve themselves.

In the Sustainability System, you can find out about your supplier’s present performance. Your suppliers only have to fill out the checklist once per year. All tour operators will have access to this information.
